Who is Dr Dan Ariely?
Dan Ariely was born in New York. When he was 18 years old, he became an IDF soldier during his training he suffered third-degree burns over 70 percent of his body from an unintentional magnesium flare blast. Dan has also done majors in physics and mathematics from Tel Aviv University. But he transferred to philosophy when he started writing. He also holds a degree of M.A and Ph. D. in cognitive psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in business from Duke University.
Dan Ariely is the James B. Duke Professor of Behavioral Economics at Duke University, with appointments at the Fuqua School of Business, the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, and the Department of Economics. He is also the originator of the Center for Advanced Hindsight and a vocational professor at MIT’s Media Lab. From the time of his work he has won frequent technical rewards. He started writing when he was a member at the Institute for Advance Study at Princeton. His has also worked for the foremost intellectual journals in psychology, economics, neuroscience, medicine, and business, and in a variety of popular media outlets,
